As of firmware version BDP10XEU-70-0218, the BDP-10x players have added support for gapless playback of APE, FLAC, and WAV files from connected USB hard drives and SMB shares.

 

Via USB Drive

1. From the player's Home Menu, select the Music icon.

2. Select the USB drive from the device list, and navigate to a folder that contains the tracks that you want to play back gaplessly.

3. Press the Option button on the remote control, and select Gapless play from the menu that appears at the bottom of the screen.

4. Gapless playback of the tracks will begin.

 

Via SMB

1. From the player's Home Menu, select the Network icon.

2. Select the SMB share that you want to access and enter your username and password, if applicable.

3. Navigate to a folder that contains the tracks that you want to play back gaplessly.

4. Press the Option button on the remote control, and select Gapless play from the menu that appears at the bottom of the screen.

5. Gapless playback of the tracks will begin.

Note: Gapless playback is only possible if all of the files are of the same type. For instance, if you have a folder with a mixture of both APE and FLAC files, gapless playback will not work properly.
